Generals of Kaladan

A premium strategy game set across six realms. Lead your general, read the map, and outplay your rival.

The box says 30 to 150 minutes. A short game with fewer players lands near the low end, while a full six player battle across a large map runs long. Game length is player-controlled through hex map size.

Absolutely. The game scales beautifully from 2-6 players. Two-player games offer intense tactical duels with faster-paced combat, while larger groups enable alliance-building and social strategy.

Generals of Kaladan features a completely original fantasy universe with deep lore integration, painterly semi-realistic art, terrain-driven tactical combat, and a seasonal event system. Unlike licensed IP games, every element was crafted specifically for this world.

Not at all. The game is fully enjoyable as pure strategy. However, each realm's lore enriches your experience – every card, ability, and terrain type tells a story. Lore enthusiasts will discover deeper meaning in every decision.

Both. The four-step turn structure and card-driven mechanics are intuitive for newcomers, while the tactical depth, terrain interactions, and social dynamics satisfy veteran strategists. Complexity scales with player experience.

The game is printed and boxed. The first copies are handed over in person at SPIEL Essen in October 2026 with no shipping cost. Everything else ships after the show. Before we ship you will receive a short form to confirm your address and settle shipping and any local duties.

We funded and produced the first run ourselves and sell it directly to our community, the Friends of Kaladan. It keeps the edition small, the quality where we want it, and the relationship with players direct.

You will receive a confirmation email right away, then updates by email as fulfilment moves. Before shipping you will receive a short form to handle your address, customs, and shipping details.

Refunds and order cancellations are not possible. Only if we fail to deliver the game will you be entitled to a refund.

Possibly, depending on your country. We will send a customs and shipping form closer to delivery so you know what to expect. No surprises.

We email updates as fulfilment moves, and you can follow along any time in the News section of the site.

Yes. Payments are processed by PayPal, Stripe, and iDEAL with encrypted checkout. We do not store or share your payment details.

This first run is limited to 1000 copies. The box is marked Founders' Version and carries artwork and lore inserts that will not appear in future retail editions.
